Raytheon taps North Atlantic for communications and embedded computing for LTAMDS missile-defense radar

Raytheon Technologies Corp.のミサイル防衛のエキスパートチームは、Lower Tier Air and Missile Defense Sensor（LTAMDS）のために高密度I/O、通信、Ethernetスイッチング、組み込みコンピューティング機能を必要としていました。
マサチューセッツ州アンドーバーにあるRaytheon Missiles & Defense部門は、LTAMDSのためにNorth Atlantic SIU35 3U CompactPCIセンサーインターフェースユニットを選択しました。
LTAMDSは、最終的に現在の米陸軍のPATRIOT（Phased Array Tracking Radar to Intercept on Target）ミサイルレーダーを置き換える、360度全方位型の次世代ミサイル防衛レーダーです。このレーダーは窒化ガリウム製で、2022年に陸軍で初期運用能力を達成する予定でした。
